And the napkin, that was about his head, not
lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
What Does This Mean?
Even the smallest details in the Bible speak of and are
prophetic of Jesus.
The wrap being set aside and folded by itself is a personal
promise by Jesus that he is returning!
It is imperative, for any serious student of the Bible, and
especially for prophetic interest to use the Hebrew customs and
language/alphabet for a deeper meaning.
The Wrap and the Tradition
The tradition is quite simple and has to do with the master
and servant relationship.
In ancient Hebrew culture, while the master of the house was
eating a servant would be waiting off to the side. If the master was done
with his meal, he would use the napkin to clean himself up, wad it up and throw
it on the table, this meant he was done and the servant would clean up the
However, if the master was interrupted or had to do
something while in the middle of the meal, he would fold his napkin up and
place it to the side. This was a nonverbal way to tell the servant, "I am
not finished, do not touch."
There are almost three hundred prophecies in the old
testament about the first coming of Jesus. There are three times more than that
about his second coming.
This one in particular I believe was Jesus himself leaving
us a little message saying "I will return".
Thank you and God Bless,
